Time to go Home © Brian Hooper, September 2009

Now the clock on the wall says it’s time to go home,
time to go home, time to go home,
Just one last chorus and then we’ll be gone,
It’s time to go rolling home.

We’ve sung all our favourites and some of the others,
We’ve laughed with our sisters and cried with our brothers,
But time marches on, like the heavens above us,
It’s time to go rolling home.
Now the clock on the wall..........

We’ve had a few drinks, so it’s thanks to the barman,
He took all our money and did it so charming,
To take back our glasses will do us no harm and
It’s time to go rolling home.
Now the clock on the wall..........

There once was a time I could sing through the night and
get two hours’ sleep and I’d still feel alright and
if I did that now, I’d feel just a fright and
It’s time to go rolling home.
Now the clock on the wall..........
